A Dusty Poem

Whilst flipping though the dusty pages of a notebook, I found this poem scribbled down. Thought I might share, since I haven't posted in a while.

If I had to walk a million miles,
In someone else's shoes.
The issue wouldn't be the walking,
But just whose shoes to choose.

If I had to walk a million miles,
For someone else's sin,
I'd stand up straight and suck up my pride,
And boldly lift my chin…

Because that's what Jesus did.
For someone else's sin,
In someone else's shoes,
He was slaughtered on the cross,
He died for me and you.
